Aimpoint has recently introduced to the market a3X magnifier that can be used in conjunction with all Aimpoint scopes for long range aiming. When coupled with the GG&G Quick Detach 3X Adapter and QD Multi-Flex Mount it can be removed in seconds for CQB situations or installation of the ITT PVS-14 Night Vision Monocular for night targeting. The GG&G Quick Detach Multi-Flex System also allows the Aimpoint 3X to be used affectively behind the
EOTECH Holosight as shown in the photograph. When not weapons mounted this new 3X magnifier can also be used as a hand held observation device. The magnifier does not have a reticle of its own but uses the red dot or reticle in the Aimpoint or EOTECH as the aiming reticle. This eliminates the need to re-zero when shifting from non-magnified to magnified use or vice versa. This great new product is rubber covered for increased protection from shock as well as providing an ergonomic grip when used as a hand held monocular. The magnifier is manufactured from a 30 mm diameter tube and provides a 7 degree field of view. It is only 4.3" long and weighs only 7.1 ounces.
The GG&G Quick Detach Multi-Flex High Mount is basically our QD Night Vision High Mount slightly re-designed to accept both the mounting ring for the ITT PVS 14 night vision monocular and the new GG&G Aimpoint 3X Adapter. It is fully compatable with MIL-STD-1913 dovetails. As can be seen in the accompanying photos, the Multi-Flex High Mount and Aimpoint 3x Magnifier set up is best used behind the Aimpoint Comp M2 when it is mounted in a mount such as the GG&G Aimpoint Cantilever Ring or an Aimpoint QRP mounting ring. 
The GG&G QD Multi-Flex High Mount is manufactured from 6061 T6 billet aluminum and type III hard anodized matte black to MIL-SPEC.The steel components of the Multi-Flex Mount are manufactured from 4140 ordnance steel manganese phosphated matte black per MIL-SPEC. The mounting ring for the ITT PVS14 is manufactured from 4140 ordnance steel and manganese phosphated matte black per MIL-SPEC.
The new GG&G Aimpoint 3X Adapter should fit the mounting base of all of the GG&G PVS14 High Mounts purchased after April 15, 2005. GG&G PVS14 High Mounts having the two rear set screw configuration purchased prior to that date, can be retrofitted and adjusted to accept the Aimpoint 3X Adapter for the nominal amount of $25.00 plus shipping. This tuning procedure will insure a proper alignment and fit for multiple uses.
